Our area offers much to do, you will never be bored. Within
1 1/2 hours you can be in Biltmore Estates in Asheville, Cherokee Indian Village, The Great Smokey Mountain Parkway
or The Blue Ridge Parkway. In 2 hours you can be in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennessee or even in 3 hours you can be in Knoxville..
We are 2 1/2 hours from Atlanta, close to Helen, Dahlonega and Cleveland,Geogia.
It is 1/2 hour to the South Carolina boarder. You can be in Greenville/Spartanburg in 2 1/2 hours. We
are very Centrally located.
In our local area there is hiking, antique shopping, biking, swimming,
gem mining/panning, golf, river tubing and horseback riding. Endless things to do!!
We are also close to Tallulah Gorge State Park where they filmed
the movie "Deliverance" and Bryson City where they filmed parts of "The Fugitive".
There are lots of State Parks in our area and surrounding areas. Such as Black Rock Mountain State
Park, Moccasin Creek State Park, Smokey Mountain State Park, Tallulah Gorge State Park, Nantahala State Park and many, many
more.
We are open for Kayaking from April to Novemeber.

Our operating schedule for Gem Mining is from March 15th to November 15th.
